Hi All

Apologies for cross posting.

I do a little bit of teacher CPD and recently I found that I could get assessed to be on a website of approved people that do that sort of thing, it is a very small part of my work but it is worth the pain of having to be nice to people all day just to make grown ups behave like children for a little while.

In my simple way I thought that somebody would come along, watch me for a bit, pat me on the head and then wander off back to their office to write some thing or other. But No, I am far to naive. I got an email asking me for
- marketing materials, such as booklets, leaflets
- records of communication with clients/participants (pre- and post- event)
- programme agendas and learning objectives
- planning materials;

- learning materials, e.g. PowerPoint presentations, tools or  resources
- proformas, such as pre-event questionnaires and evaluation sheets
Frankly it is not worth me producing all this stuff, I just do not have the time or the boredom threshold.
So I replied telling them that and they came right back telling me that was fine!!
I still do day plans, hand outs, private notes reflecting to myself on what works
and my ongoing assessment method of seeing how the group reacts and the look in their eyes.

Paper trails are fine but I wonder how many trees die needlessly.

Say No and save our leafy friends!

All the best

Ian
