Interesting point I discovered when speaking to a legal adviser was that a claim can be made up to 7 years if the person was not aware of extent of the injury. Not quoted word perfect but something like that but if true it will change how long we keep records for. I know PI claims can be sought up to 3 years following injury, if the insurance dept get a claim 2.5 yrs after the incident (and for arguments sake...the person has left employment) it can take a couple of years for notes to be requested (see archives for validity of consent in relation to this!!!)
