January 15 abstract submission deadline for FRISNO 11

Dear friends and colleagues,

FRISNO-11 is fast approaching, it is time to submit your abstracts by the deadline of JANUARY 15, 2011.

FRISNO-11, the 11th European/French Israeli Symposium on Nonlinear and quantum Optics, will be held in Aussois, in the French Alps in the CNRS (CAES) Centre, on March 28 – April 1, 2011.  Aussois Centre is a nice resort in the French Alps, used by the CNRS for meetings and conferences. 

The meeting will maintain its broad spectrum of topics.  A very preliminary list of invited speakers  includes: 

Alain Aspect, Claude Cohen-Tannoudji, Claudio Conti, Nir Davidson, Serge Haroche, Paul Lett, Nathalie Piqué, and Dmitri Psaltis.

FRISNO-11 will maintain the tradition of selecting most of the oral presentations from amongst the abstract submissions, ensuring a constant renewal of speakers and opportunities to young scientists.  The sessions for oral presentations will be held in the mornings and in late afternoons, and the evenings will be dedicated to Posters and Drinks. The afternoons will be free for binary or many-body interactions on the ski slopes. 

Now is the time to prepare your abstracts, in the form of single A4 page, including figure(s), typed in Times new Roman 12 font, starting with the title, author(s) and affiliation(s).and send it to [log in to unmask] at the earliest possible date, but not later than the deadline of

JANUARY 15, 2011.

All submissions will be considered by the Scientific Committee, and a final program will be announced well in advance of the meeting itself. Based on previous experience, the informal atmosphere generates very successful poster sessions, and all participants are encouraged to submit more than one abstract, so that part of their work may be presented in a poster session. 

The organizing committee managed to secure some financial support for a limited number of students. All students are invited to apply for financial help. Decisions will be announced with the acceptance note of the contributions.
