“Doing more for less” Study Day - 24th February 2011

 

IFMH invites library and information professionals to attend their forthcoming study day on commissioning.  It will be held at the Lecture Theatre at Derby Hospital, 10 am - 4.00 pm.

 

This study day will focus on “doing more for less” in the NHS, focusing on key initiatives such as QIPP and “Cost and Quality”. It will help library and information professionals to understand the broader perspective and provide a roundtable opportunity to discuss their role in supporting colleagues to meet these challenges.

 

The programme will cover:

 

·         Overview of QIPP

·         Resources to support QIPP including NHS Evidence

·         The work of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement

·         Group work

o        Discussion of QIPP case studies

o        Ideas for how librarians and information professionals can get involved in QIPP

 

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Cost is £60+VAT for IFMH Subscriber Members, otherwise £80+VAT.
