Two vacancies have arisen within Fuse, the UKCRC Centre for Translational Research in Public Health, a Knowledge Exchange Broker and a Communications Officer.  Both posts are based at Teesside University and are central to the activities of a national centre of excellence in public health research, dedicated to improving the translation of knowledge into practice and policy.  Please can you cascade the details of both posts amongst your networks as appropriate:

Knowledge Exchange Broker, £33,600 - £37,839, Temporary until 31 May 2013

Educated to degree level and with a sound knowledge of the wider public health field, you will work at the interface between Fuse’s academic work programme and the range of policy and practice partner organisations in the field of public health and health and wellbeing. Communications Officer, £19,743 - £22,879, Temporary until 31 May 2013

With experience of communication work in the academic or health sectors the Communications Officer will provide support to the Fuse Knowledge Exchange Broker, the Fuse Centre Administrator and Communications Group. You will contribute to the development of the website, respond to media enquiries, help prepare press releases and statements, and assist with the co-ordination of events and networking across the 5 North East Universities, and between them and their policy and practice partners.
