My response would be to initially refuse to provide the information as it
is personal data but offer to reconsider if they provide a legal basis
allowing / obliging you to provide the requested information.

We've received a request from the agent of the Accountant in Bankruptcy
asking for a pile of information about an individual: -
· Current address and any previous addresses together with dates
he was known to reside at these addresses
· Trading details such as nature of trade, dates of trade and any
trading addresses
· Details of any business partners (names and addresses)
· Employment details or details of benefits being claimed
· Details of any bank accounts held
· Date of Birth
· Names of any spouse or children
· Details of any contact phone numbers or e-mail addresses
· Any other information that you feel may be useful in assisting
to locate the debtor
· Any other information that you feel may be useful in
establishing details of the debtor?s assets and liabilities.
although he does ask for "information we are authorised to release". We
are a bit dubious about his right to access the information and our right
to disclose it. Can anyone shed any light on this?
