The inclusion team at the Higher Education Academy is pleased to announce the launch of a new developmental programme ‘Developing an Inclusive Culture in Higher Education’. The programme’s vision is to support institutions in the creation of an inclusive learning and teaching culture that enables all students to develop academically, professionally and personally to fulfil their potential.
This programme builds on previous highly successful developmental programmes and other interventions run by the inclusion team. Previous developmental programmes have acted as effective catalysts for change and have had a demonstrable impact on institutional policy and practice.
Participating institutions may also have the opportunity to bid for grant funding as part of a collaborative follow-on funding proposal to the Economic and Social Research Council that the HEA is taking part in.
The programme is open to 16 institutions across the UK.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 19 January 2011, and the year-long programme will begin in February 2011.
