Earlier this year the Academy of Medical Sciences commissioned a public dialogue programme to inform our current working group study on the use of animals containing human material. Information on the study and public dialogue is available at
http://www.acmedsci.ac.uk/p215.html
The dialogue was delivered by a consortium led by Ipsos MORI, working with the British Science Association and Dialogue by Design. It was supported by Sciencewise-ERC.
The Academy also commissioned an independent evaluation of the dialogue programme, which was carried out by Laura Grant Associates.
The evaluation is now online at
http://www.acmedsci.ac.uk/index.php?pid=240 and provides an independent assessment of the dialogue programme’s credibility, effectiveness
and success. It also identifies learning to support the development of good practice in public dialogue.
