Kevin – see this survey that martin carried out last month
in answer to your question about using TII and threshold limits. If you look
back in the archive, you will see that there was quite a discussion about
thresholds (mostly resulting in no threshold should be used!).

Subject: Re: Turnitin Survey: Student access to Originality Reports
Dear
Colleagues,
Please
find appended below the link to the results of my recent Turnitin survey.
I'd like to extend a big thank you to all those who participated and provided
feedback. I have as yet carried out only a basic study of the results and
would be happy to share the (anonymised) raw data with those who are interested
in further analysis.
An
investigation into the use of Turnitin in UK HE institutions, focusing upon
student access to the service; are students permitted to interact with
Turnitin; is access to the Originality Reports denied or allowed, what sort of
access is supported, what are the reasons behind these decisions, and what are
the outcomes?

Survey: Student access to Originality Reports
Dear
Colleagues,
Apologies
for cross-posting
I am
conducting a survey to find out how other institutions allow their students to
interact with Turnitin; is access to the Originality Reports denied or allowed,
and what are the reasons behind these decisions?
I'd be
most grateful if you could take a few minutes to respond to the six question
survey, and I'd be equally happy to share the results with you.
The survey

Kind
Regards
Martin
