Subject: [Coastal_list] EGU 2011: Natural Hazard Resilient Cities: methods and tools to qualify and quantify

Dear Colleagues,

Please consider submitting an abstract and participating in an exciting special session on Natural Hazard Resilient Cities: methods and tools to qualify and quantify that we  are convening at the April 2011 European Geosciences Union General Assembly in Vienna, Austria.

This session welcomes contributions on recent studies in risk mitigation in urban environments  that supply methodologies and tools to design more adaptive and resilient cities. For a full session description follow this link:

http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2011/session/7684

Please note that best articles submitted in this session  will be proposed in a special edition of the Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences Journal (ISI Journal, http://www.natural-hazards-and-earth-system-sciences.net/home.html).

The EGU General Assembly 2010 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. Especially for young scientists the EGU appeals to provide a forum to present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcome you in Vienna!

Best regards,

Damien Serre
