medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Yes, Trithemius uses the traditional names for St Ann'es parents, i.e. Stollanus and Emerenciana. His book on St Anne is more inspirational than biographical. It is an exhortation to keep the feast of St Anne and devotion to her: addressed to the Carmelites and written at the request of the Flemish Carmelite Arnold Bostius.

Does he name Anne's mother?
