Annette The short answer on "why not track processes and record outcomes in Aspire?" is that our current assessment is that our processes are more complex and cross-team that the Aspire Acquisitions interface can support at present. We have Liaison Librarians who review lists and approve selections; Acquisitions team members who purchase (and update Aspire records); Link checkers, who improve basic bookmarks and validate persistent authentication-aware URLs; and Digitisation staff who process digitisation threshold requests and amend metadata accordingly. We also want to generate KPI data on a list's 'journey' from submission to completion, which means list level tracking of an individual team's pick-up and pass-on activities. This has led us to treat Aspire at the authority source for RLMS selection and acquisition data; but not the workhorse for Acquisitions process management. More on this in December! My question is really about why you are exporting now that the functionality is in place to record outcomes and log comments in the Review screen. Anyway, I think there will be some really interesting discussions around how we are all using Aspire for reviewing lists.
