Do you look after books and documents?  Do you want to learn more about ways to protect and preserve them?  This training day is aimed at those who are new to the preservation of library and archive collections and would like to learn more.

The day starts with an overview of preservation, risk management and prioritization.  Subsequent sessions focus on storage of collections; how to handle items; emergency response and digital preservation.

Previous attendees found that the day gave a “good overview of issues - feel generally better informed.”  and helped with  “options for storing material, key environmental issues, best handling methods.  Lots more little bits of very helpful information.”

Cost: £95 + VAT including lunch and refreshments (£71 + VAT for members of Research Libraries UK)

Book and pay now to avoid the January VAT rise.
