I’d like to ask about how you all count your school visitor figures. As an example, a school class visits the museum; do you…..……………

A.M. session to museum………Count the number of school children on the museum staff led education session

The school stays for lunch and then goes onto………

P.M. session in museum………Count the number again if the school stays for a self led visit but uses the museum resources, e.g. museum trail –or- don’t count the number again if they use their own resources.

Question: what if the school use their own resources for their P.M. self led visit but need to use the museum education space for bags, coats, etc, resulting in there being no room for another school to use the education space for a museum staff led visit. Would you still count them?

Hope this makes sense and many thanks in advance for any info. I shall put collated responses back onto GEM for you all to access.
