I wanted to make you aware of a new permanent Biostats role we have at Hays Pharma.

Due to recent expansion within this late phase biostatistics group, a leading CRO are looking for an Epidemiologist to lead the design and analysis of prospective observational studies.

Description of main activities
*       Provide consultation and advice in quantitative/statistical, experimental design, and data management issues. Works with the Epidemiology & Health Outcomes (EOR) team to develop study protocols, analysis plans and final study reports for projects under the responsibility of Epidemiology & Health Outcomes (EOR).
*       Plans, coordinates, and oversees statistical analyses and summaries in support of product development in collaboration with Programmers.
*       Member of the Epidemiology & Health Outcomes (EOR) team, attend meetings as a representative and coordinating activities with internal data management and programming staff, medical writing and regulatory affairs.
*       Statistical leader and project manager for all deliverables globally for observational studies program
*       Ensure that the statistical and methodological aspects of the observational studies programs are adequate to meeting scientific, regulatory, quality, and commercialization requirements.
*       Plan and track project level activities, including resources.
*       Establish and maintain project standards (master analysis plan, full development project specifications, standard software).
*       Interact with Clinical Data Management and Pharmacovigilance as appropriate.
*       Maintain records for all assigned projects and archive trial / project analysis and associated documentation


The successful candidate will have previous statistical experience (Phase IIIB, Phase IV, Observational Studies, Registries) with good SAS programming skills.
A background in Health Outcomes (Patient Reported Outcomes and/or Health Economics) would be preferable.
You will have excellent Project Lead experience (Management, Financial, Timelines) and be able to present accordingly to internal and external clients and feel comfortable in Bid Defence meetings.
A good team player with demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills together with solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities would be ideal.
