Have you thought about Clinisys' product called Pathmanager? It's may not be the simple solution you asked for but is probably a better solution long term - It works with LabCentre (which we use) as well as their WinPath products. It's basically a front-end into a Business-Objects environment that allows you to retrieve virtually all (if not all) data items from your LIMS on a live data basis. Needless to say you can then do your manipulation and fancy plots on the retrieved data directly within Pathmanager (or indeed export to Excel/CSV files for manipulation elsewhere). If you need a contact name then let me know and I'll give you the details.

Regards, Billy.

Subject: Extracting results in Bulk from WinPath

For the attention of WinPath5 (Clinisys) users

Has anyone got a simple system for doing data extracts from WinPath? I was thinking of an Excel-based extract with a macro to do a histogram, but any solutions to getting data out for audits and reference range review would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it is difficult to view the distribution of the results that we generate for audit and setting automatic authorisation limits etc.

regards

Andrew
