Greetings! >If this was done without permission, its a great shame. Its a fantastic >survey of the Western Esoteric Tradition which I would love to own.A >publication of this scope ought to have been properly negotiated and a >strong introduction written for it,describing its significance and the >relationship between the texts in the work in terms of >concepts, magical techniques and history. > >Would it be wrong of me to buy it,which I am lusting to do? It may well be that much of the material is already available to you for free online, placed there by people that do own the copyrights concerned. Some of it may be available online, but against the wishes of copyright holders. Andrew Chumbley told me that he wanted it to be difficult for people to access his writings, so that people would appreciate it when they finally did get an opportunity to read them. I am sure this view would be upheld by the inheritor and administrator of his copyrights. I know of cases where people who were unable to afford his books have travelled to read someone else's copy and have experienced the process as an initiation in itself. I think Andrew would have liked that.
