CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS

The 10th Australian and New Zealand Association of Leisure Studies (ANZALS) biennial conference is due to take place from the 6th to the 8th of December 2011 in Dunedin, New Zealand. In order to democratise the conference and to develop synergises across presentations the conference organising committee invites proposals from anyone who is interested in convening and chairing a themed session/s at the conference. Proposals should include a title for the session/s, identify the number of sessions being proposed, and describe the theme of the session/s and its rationale in no more than 350 words. A maximum of two sessions will be available to each theme and each session should consist of four papers. The responsibilities of themed session/s conveners include populating their session/s through a call for abstracts, ensuring the quality of submitted abstracts, and forwarding completed session details to the conference organising committee. Proposals should be forwarded to Diana Evans ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by the 26th of November. Acceptance of sessions will be confirmed by the 10th of January, 2011
Alongside the themed sessions the conference organising committee will be making a general call for abstracts for papers in the next few months to ensure everyone who wishes to come and present at the conference has the opportunity to do so and is incorporated in the conference in a way that maximises the benefits to all conference participants.
