Hello Listserve,

I am currently analyzing a study with 2 conditions and 2 runs. I would like to compare each condition to the baseline, using the temporal derivative as a regressor. The order of my conditions within the contrast manager are:

Run1Condition 1, Run1Temp Derivative 1, Run1Condition 2, Run1Temp Derivative 2, Run2Condition 1, Run2Temp Derivative 1, Run2Condition 2, Run2Temp Derivative 2, Run1Baseline, Run2Baseline

To compare Condition 1 to the baseline (with temporal derivative as a regressor), I attempted to use the following contrast, keeping the baseline as an implicit variable:
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0

I have concerns regarding the accuracy after reviewing the results, and I am less familiar with setting up contrasts of this nature including derivatives. What would be the appropriate t-contrast to use in order to compare condition 1 to the baseline, using the temporal derivative as a regressor?

Thank you in advance for your helpful comments regarding this issue,
