My colleagues and I are finalizing the program for the coming Sewanee Medieval Colloquium, on the theme "Voice, gesture, memory and performance" in the Middle Ages. We would particularly welcome further proposals addressing such issues as:
-- ritual and relics
-- the creation of memory through manuscript or relic collection
-- voice and/or gesture in liturgy, hymns, song, drama
-- memory and canonization processes

Please drop me a line as soon as possible if you're interested; we can wait a little while for a formal proposal.
