Subject: Ofcom Update: Draft Guidance for the completion of Channel
4Corporation's (C4C) statement of media content policy

Ofcom has today published draft Guidance for the completion of Channel 4
Corporation's (C4C) statement of media content policy

The Digital Economy Act 2010 amends the Communications Act 2003 to set
out a new requirement for C4C to prepare an annual statement of media
content policy across all platforms and to report on its performance in
the previous year. This is in addition to the existing requirement to
prepare a statement and review for Channel 4 alone.

In preparing each statement and review, C4C must have regard to guidance
given by Ofcom. The new draft note provides proposed guidance in
relation to C4C's preparation of both the statements and the reviews.

Any comments or observations on the proposed draft may be emailed to
[log in to unmask] by 19th January 2011.
