The department of Media Policy and Media Economy (Prof. Dr. Josef Trappel)
at the 
Institute of Communication Science, University of Salzburg, offers the
position of a Postdoc
researcher and lecturer. The department is concerned with teaching and
research in the 
field of economic and political structures of the media and their
implications on public
communication. 
€ The position is open from March 1st, 2011
€ Four years term 
€ 40 hours per week
€ Teaching and research on media economics (specificities of media goods,
media 
markets, media competition), media financing and advertising, media
management, 
corporate media governance, globalisation of media markets, media economy
and 
media policy in general
€ Participation in administrative obligations
€ 4 hours teaching per week
€ University doctoral degree awarded in the field of social science or
economic science, 
preferably in communication science with a focus on media economy
€ Profound knowledge of professional literature on media-economical and
political 
structures of Europe and selected European countries
€ Experienced in writing and publishing academic texts
