POSTGRADUATE STUDENTSHIPS at the UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM

Following the launch of the new Department of Culture, Film and Media at the University of Nottingham (combining the former units of film and television studies and cultural studies and critical theory) we are delighted to announce that we are able to offer the following AHRC-funded studentships and bursaries for postgraduate study beginning in September 2011.

-          1 PhD award in film and television studies

-          1 MA award for the MA in Global Hollywood Studies

-          2 MA awards for Masters programmes in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory.

In addition, there will be a number of PhD and MA studentships offered by the wider School of Modern Languages and Cultures.

Awards cover fees (at UK/EU rates) and a maintenance allowance in line with national AHRC rates. The deadline for completed AHRC applications is 28 February 2011 but to be eligible for consideration you must first have been accepted for a place on the course and have discussed your funding application with the Department (please contact Paul Grainge as Director of Postgraduate Research, [log in to unmask])

If you would like to learn more about MA study and funding opportunities at Nottingham, you are warmly invited to attend an Open Meeting in the School of Modern languages and Cultures on Wednesday 1 December, 4.30-6.00pm, in Trent Building, Room B40.
