Does anyone know this music well enough to cast a communicable opinion? Does he fit into a contemporary American choral scene that includes the likes of Morten Lauridsen following on from Randall Thompson? Would comparisons with the Rutter and Karl Jenkins "industries" be unkind? One of the currently available CDs, "Music of Eric Whitacre" includes a concert band work "Ghost train trilogy". one of several published by Hal Leonard. Does anyone possess any of: Cloudburst Equus Ghost train trilogy Godzilla eats Las Vegas Lux Aurumque (Light of gold) October Sleep I'm not sure if I'm being sceptical about hype or missing out on some really good music.
