Dear Colleagues,

The HEIR Network (the UK and Ireland Institutional Research Network) with the Scottish Forum on Lifelong Learning (organised by The Centre for Research in Lifelong Learning (CRLL) <http://crll.gcal.ac.uk/> ) has great pleasure in inviting you to attend a one day event focusing on using 'Evidence for institutional policy and practice: why, what, how?'. It will take place on Tuesday 23rd November 2010 in Glasgow Caledonian University.

The event will be an opportunity for higher education practitioners to come together to find out more about notions of evidence and in particular, how this has been/can be used to influence and support institutional policy- and decision-making. The day will be interactive and participatory with opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and share their own experiences.

Please find attached further information outlining the programme for the day and how to book your place. Please note that the registration fee to attend this event is £60.

We would be grateful if you would forward this information to colleagues and relevant groups/networks..

Best wishes
