We have received a subject access request from an ex-employee for all personal data held by us.
I'm trying to decide if e-mails between employees from the HR and finance departments concerning advice over invoices and debt collection with regard to the data subject could be exempted under DPA Sch (5) on "Management forecasts, etc".
The main point of contention here is whether debt recovery and related negotiations on invoicing between employees constitutes the "conduct of any business..." and whether disclosure of these e-mails could prejudice the conduct of this business.
I know this usually applies to large scale management operations such as redundancies or restructuring, but am wondering if it could be applied to financial operations as above.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
