Critical Studies in Fashion and Beauty

It is with great pleasure that Intellect announces the arrival of our latest
journal, Critical Studies in Fashion and Beauty (http://bit.ly/bf3yf2). The
inaugural volume of this hugely anticipated title includes contributions
from Zygmunt Bauman, Ana Marta Gonzalez and the CEO of the Milan based trend
research agency Future Concept Lab. Efrat Tseëlon¹s editorial, provides a
critical perspective on the fashion studies field including issues of
archiving and categorizing fashion artifacts and concepts. Articles are
adorned with numerous colour images, adding to the design and the overall
aesthetic qualities of the journal.

Critical Studies in Fashion and Beauty joins the growing literature on
fashion-related issues and is the first journal dedicated to the critical
examination of the fashion system and the beauty system, with a focus on
both objects and concepts. It aims to encompass a wide range of topics, from
social theory to fashion theory.

Issue 1.1 will be shortly followed by 1.2 creating special back-to-back
issues that make up the first volume of this journal. Issue 2 will focus on
identity and would include articles on Œmade in Italy¹, ŒRevisioning the
kimono¹, digital identities, and the coming out of a Swedish diplomat.
