Dear list I am very new to using Open BUGS/WinBUGS. I am trying to estimate a Rasch model, much like the LSAT example in the first set of examples. While my model is syntactically correct, compiles, with data loaded. The estimates I obtain for my item parameters (according to the stats output) are very very close to 0 (which is not what is reported in the example). I have seen several examples of implementing a Rasch model in WinBUGS/Open BUGS and have tried all of them (or variations) but I seem to get the same results. I am assuming that the summary stats are from the posterior distribution, correct? Also, if anyone knows of a good Open BUGS tutorial...
