Subject: Re: Cemetries - inclusive access guidance

Hi Dorothy,

I  looked at access to churchyards as part of my MSc a few years ago. I could not find specific guidance on access although there is some work being done following the The Living Churchyard and Cemetery Project started in 1988 - have a look at

...But this largely focuses on promoting the natural habitats.

I used a combination of guidance concerning external environments taken from

Lacey A(2004) Designing for Accessibility  London: Cente for Accessible Environments & RIBA Enterprises

and

Oxley P (2002) Inclusive Mobility London: Dept of Transport

Hope this helps?

Good morning,

I would be most grateful if anyone could steer me in the direction of good practice on accessibility for cemetries.

Kind Regards,

Dorothy
