Dear SPMers, I have a question about the difference using the 2 sample t test, paired sample t test, and flexible factorial design. I have two contrast images from each subject, con1.img, and con2.img. My ultimate goal is to compare the two contrast images, i.e. con1-con2 and con2-con1. I tried all of the three tests, but I got different results, the t tests did not give me significant activations, while the flexible factorial design gave me some activations. I am wondering what are the fundamental differences among the three methods and what is the best approach among the three. Thank you so much Tiffany
