She’s had CBT in the past. My problem would be getting her to agree that the problem was at least contributed to by her psychological issues.

I would appreciate the
list's advice regarding the following scenario:-
A 51 year old SDS Facilitator (Social Worker) who is required to move with the
rest of her team to a different location. The building she should be
moving to is old, has poor lighting and not a lot of natural light either.
It is very near electrical cables. She is currently off sick with
an old back injury but there is an underlying problem which may prevent return
to work once recovered from the back problem. She has a migraine associated
vertigo and insists that this building brings on her symptoms within ten
minutes of entering it. She cannot pinpoint what it is within the
building that makes her unwell - which of course, makes it very difficult to
make any recommendations regarding reasonable adjustments.
Historically, her health has always been affected by her anxiety levels which
in turn are affected by her working environment and the issue with migraine
associated vertigo has been ongoing; but she had settled in her current base.
Previous adjustments have been flexible working, working two days per
week from home and input from access to work in terms of desk, chair etc.
The problem is that she cannot work in isolation from the rest of the team and
the rest of the team are in the new location. Management are trying to
find a suitable room for her within the new location but she is resistant to
the move. Does anyone have any thoughts?
