The client is a force majeur within the geospatial industry with a justified reputation for producing world class bespoke and customised GIS solutions.  Their solutions are based upon state of the art geospatial technology which is both powerful yet intuitively easy to use.
 
One of their flagship clients from within the utilities sector requires a GIS Support Consultant and in this instance the person could be a recent GIS graduate as well as someone with a couple of years experience.
 
What does the job involve?
The job on offer is very varied and involves plenty of interaction with users.  Responsibilities can be generally grouped under the heading of professional services and are centred on providing business and technical support.  In the main support is focused upon spatial data management and data governance.
 
Your aptitude should definitely be biased towards data management and data analysis combined with a practical knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server technology.  Your efforts will aid the business in improving its processes and responsiveness towards its customers.
