Power of the VHS II: The Future of Recording TV & Radio Off-Air
Thursday 16 December 2010, 11am-4.30pm
Sparkbox, Hoxton Square, London
Moving forward into action
  • How can we make informed disposal decisions?
  • How can we share off-air content held in VHS?
  • What does the future hold for off-air recording?
  • What recording limitations do HD broadcasts carry?

Meeting the challenge

A one-day forum to provide solutions and guidance regarding the storage and preservation of VHS recordings, while looking forward to tomorrow’s technology and the future of off-air TV & radio recordings.

The day will provide a unique opportunity to listen to case studies and presentations from leading experts in the field of off-air recording, with the chance to put forward questions and share your experiences with speakers and colleagues.

The day will end with a farewell drinks reception for Murray Weston, as he retires from the position of Chief Executive at the BUFVC.

 * Delegates do not need to have attended ‘Power of the VHS I’ to attend this year’s forum.  The event will open with a short summary of previous content and discussions, before moving onto the full programme which will build on last year's.

Book to attend

The registration fee is:

  • £25 for premier and enhanced premier members
  • £30 for standard BUFVC members
  • £40 for non-BUFVC members
Lunch and refreshments will be included. The BUFVC’s formal Annual General Meeting will also take place at lunch.
