The
MLA Strategic Commissioning Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme
provides opportunities to gain further skills, knowledge and experience to enable
the cultural sector to deliver quality programmes for children and young
people.
A
range of CPD training and networking activities are on offer to museum and
archive educators, as well as other cultural sector and children and young
people's sector professionals, to strengthen the role of museums, galleries and
archives in the delivery of the Children's Agenda.
Participation in these activities has been subsidised through the Strategic
Commissioning Programme, and many are offered free or at a greatly reduced
cost.
The
CPD programme has been framed around the Common Core
Framework of Skills, developed in consultation with the Children's Workforce &
Development Council, to support the development of key skills for sector
staff working with children and young people.
