REMINDER: The Open Planets Foundation is now recruiting for a Java Lead Developer / Architect to lead our development team. The post-holder should have extensive enterprise architecture experience (Web Services, SOA, UML) as well as hands-on experience managing remote development teams in open source projects (configuration management, RUP / SCRUM etc.) Roles and Responsibilities - Define high-level architectural and functional requirements with expert users / business analysts from member organisations. - Work with business analysts, engineers and developers to design systems and architecture. - Obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. - Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. - Consult with clients about software system design and maintenance. - Design, develop and modify software systems and measure outcomes and consequences of design. - Work together with members and project partners on validation procedures and documentation.
