Use of seatbelts by people with dementia

Hello all,

Question from a colleague...

Hi
I wondered if you could help me. I have been asked by a carer if there is anything he can use to prevent his wife (who has dementia) from undoing her seat-belt in the car. He has tried a child's safety-belt with a different locking mechanism, but she has been able to undo this with ease. He is obviously concerned for her safety and also their general safety if he is trying to re-fasten her seat-belt whilst driving.

Many thanks,
