ISOLATION - Screening and Panel Discussion

"...Isolation, directed by Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull, is a beautifully attuned piece of work..." Phil Hoad, The Guardian

A quarter of British ex-soldiers sleep rough when they return home.

An impressionistic portrait of the emotional and physical aftermath of war, Isolation follows Photographer and ex-soldier Stuart Griffiths as he travels across England uncovering the stories behind the military statistics. This bold documentary explores the personal demons and uncertain futures faced by soldiers leaving the army.

Join us for a screening of Isolation followed by a panel discussion and projection of a selection of Stuart Griffiths' photographs. Speakers include film makers Luke Seomore & Joseph Bull, Photographer Stuart Griffiths and Prof Simon Wessely, Director, King's Centre for Military Health Research, King's College London and Trustee of Combat Stress. Chair: Dr Suzannah Biernoff, Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Visual Culture, Birkbeck.

Date: Friday 29th October, 6.30pm. Venue: Birkbeck Cinema. Cost: £5
