Much in the way that smart jewellery shops do not display prices (if you need to ask you can't afford it). there have been a number of jobs advertised recently that do not indicate salary. It is really not helpful to the job seeker, nor to the recruiter - to go through the whole process to discover/be told "I can't afford to work for you" is frustrating and time-wasting in the extreme. Is this lack of openness about salary levels an attempt to try and drive the salary down as far as possible?
