In response to David Hay’s appeal concerning the
above, there is a file at The National Archives (among the dissolved companies
files) for the Oriental Telephone & Electric Co Ltd. Here is a link.
A wider search of the Catalogue throws up a further ten
hits, mainly to Colonial Office correspondence. So, sadly no records of the
companies themselves, but there may be something among the materials here at
Kew that might help your researcher.
