Dear colleagues,

Review: Libraries, Archives and Information Services Apprenticeship Framework in England

As a follow up to my email last week about the opportunity to attend events across the UK to review National Occupational Standards and apprenticeships, you can now take part in an online survey about the proposed development of an apprenticeship framework for Libraries, Archives and Information Services in England.

These proposed new frameworks are at Levels 2 and 3 and include new QCF qualifications containing both competence and knowledge components. By April 2011, all frameworks have to meet the new Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE) and the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW) which set out the minimum requirements to be included in a framework in both nations.

This review focuses on the elements of the new specifications on which we seek your feedback.

The survey will close on Friday, 29 October 2010.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail to colleagues you feel have an interest in this area of our work.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact my colleague Andy Morris, who has a technical background in apprenticeship development.
