Dear All, The Dorset Local Authors Collection, including the published works of Thomas Hardy and WilliamBarnes, is being transferred from Dorchester Library to the Dorset History Centre. New shelving will have to be installed, and existing shelves and map cabinets will be moved in order to create space for this important collection. To complete this work there will be disruption to the Dorset History Centre's normal service. As a result: The Dorset History Centre will be CLOSED on: Monday - Friday 29 November to 3 December 2010 inclusive Monday - Friday 6 December to 10 December 2010 inclusive The Dorset History Centre will be OPEN on: Saturday 27 November 2010 Saturday 4 December 2010 Saturday 11 December 2010 During this period other vital ‘behind-the-scenes' work will be carried out and we will continue to answer e-mail, postal and telephone enquiries.
