FREELANCE: Lead Statistical SAS Programmer - SAS CDI & SAS DD Specialist
Long term project - min 3 months on site / the remainder can be home based.

Job Summary:

My client is moving from legacy, using SAS Clinical Data Integration, then maintaining this using SAS DD. As the client is new to using SAS DD the freelancer will be required to hit the ground running therefore have very good experience in similar projects and using SAS DD and SAS CDI.
You will also, to some degree, be involved in the oversight and lead validation of external service providers / CRO's who develop reporting software for the efficacy and safety data components for clinical trials for global projects and to provide the data presentations specified using the developed software.


Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

-The oversight of programmers who develop SAS programmes for the production of statistical output for clinical trials (Tables, Listings and Figures) ISS/ISE in order to meet regulatory requirements
-Oversight of the execution of SAS programmes for the production of statistical output for clinical trials (Tables, Listings and Figures) in order to meet regulatory requirements
-Input into clinical project documents to ensure that SAS programming needs are addressed in a timely manner
-Ensure quality of SAS programmes and associated output via documented quality checks
-Input into the development of data standards, reporting standards and guidelines to ensure efficient production of output
-Supervise functional service provider or offsite SAS statistical programmers and, where applicable, contract staff


Essential Skills & Capabilities:

-BA/BS or equivalent experience in mathematics, statistics, computer science, life sciences or related field, or entry level MS Statistics/Computer Science.
-Fluent English (oral and written).
-Working knowledge of/ experience with SAS software. Specifically, MACRO language experience.
-Intermediate knowledge of office tools.
-At least 5 years of work experience in a programming role.
