Subject: Neo-Latin philology: old tradition, new approaches

Conference at Radboud University in Nijmegen, 26-27 November.

In the context of the interdisciplinary research project 'Text,
Transmission and Reception' of the faculty of Arts of the Radboud
University Nijmegen, the symposium aims to stimulate reflection on
aspects of the New (or Material) Philology in relation to the study of
Neo-Latin texts. Whereas in the past philologists commonly focused on
the study of the text in its original context and its most authentic
form, followers of New Philology are interested in the various forms and
meanings of a given text in the course of its reception by successive
communities of readers through the ages.
