UKCGE are pleased to announce the launch of the programme for the Current Issues in Intellectual Property Rights & Knowledge Transfer workshop, which takes place at the University of Reading on Friday 22nd October 2010.

The workshop, which is being supported by The British Library, will feature a number plenary presentations including:

·         An examination of the EThOS System and IPR issues from The British Library.

·         Issues arising through the generation of IP by PGR students and Post-Docs.

·         The experience of IPR & KT for spin-out companies in the University sector.

·         Academic collaborations with industry, including knowledge transfer partnerships.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to be involved in parallel breakout sessions looking at implications for IPR and KT. This will be done through the examination of case histories of externally sponsored research studentships, from a variety of different discipline areas.

The event will also include a panel discussion looking at international issues related to IPR & KT.  In addition to this there will be plenty of networking opportunities to meet and discuss the issues with colleagues from HEIs across the country.

The cost of the workshop is £185 for UKCGE Members and £235 for non-members. This price includes lunch, refreshments and a delegate pack.
