Course Details: 2-days NVivo 8 Training Event - 18-19 October, 2010 (London) A two-day thorough introduction of the main features of NVivo 8 is shown using a sample project data. You will have the opportunity on day two to work with your own data (sample data is provided if you don’t have your own). You will learn how to efficiently and effectively manage, code and analyse your structured, semi-structured or unstructured interview, audio and video data sources. How to structure your thematic node system supported by your chosen methodology; set-up the demographic information (attributes) to aid profiling your data; use queries to seek answers to research questions as well as formulate new questions and explore new ideas; use the NVivo model facility to capture the big picture of your data. You will learn how to set-up and manage a team project if required. The teaching method is mainly hands-on, supported by presentation, demonstration, reflection, insightful exercises, discussions, questions and answers, and an opportunity for participants to share tips and insights. You will receive a one-on-one clinic session for advice on your own project.
