Dear all,

This October and November, the National Maritime Museum and Royal Society will be hosting a lecture series that examines the relationship between the Royal Navy and the Royal Society, since the latter's foundation 350 years ago.

The first lecture, an overview by Professor Andrew Lambert, will be at the National Maritime Museum on Friday 1 October at 7pm. Tickets are £6/£8 per lecture or £62/£44 for the series.

The second lecture, by Professor Rob Iliffe and Dr David Davies, is at the Royal Society on Thursday 7 October at 7pm. This lecture is FREE.

All lectures thereafter are on THURSDAYS at the NMM. Speakers are Andrew Lambert, Rob Iliffe, David Davies, Adrian Webb, Gillian Hutchinson, Nicky Reeves, Richard Dunn, Simon Schaffer, Rebekah Higgitt, Michael Bravo, Malcolm Llewellyn Jones, Klaus Dodds and Katrina Dean.
