medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Jim,
The quick and dirty guide which I often use is
Plass, Ewald M.
What Luther Says: A Practical In-Home
Anthology for the Active Christian. St. Louis: Concordia
Publishing House, 1959..
ISBN 0-570-04240-2
(Although written for the 'active' it works pretty well for sluggards
like me, too.)
The joy of Plass is he gives you references to the Weimar Ausgabe for
each citation he quotes. The references deal with sermons, disputation
theses, hymns, and Luther's commentaries on Genesis, the Psalms, and
John..
If you cannot find a copy of Plass, let me know, and I'll gladly share
what I've stumbled across. Plass gives 21 quotations.
Good hunting!
Frank

Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear listmembers,
Apologies for a (slightly) post-medieval query, but I was wondering if
anyone might be able to steer me towards studies of the Trinity during
either the late middle ages or, more pertinently for my current
problem, in the thought of Martin Luther or other contemporary German
reformers.
Many thanks,
Jim
