DEPUTY HEAD OF LEARNING

Circa £35,000 p.a. (more may be available to an exceptional candidate) plus Final Salary Pension Scheme

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of learning at the Museum and to help realise the potential of our new Clore Learning Centre and Galleries of Modern London. Managing a team of six, you will lead the development of adult learning, in particular partnerships with universities, and one other area of the department's work, eg family learning, digital learning or provision for schools, depending on experience. You will also be actively involved in exhibition development, evaluation and fundraising, and be an effective advocate for our work internally and externally.

You must have a proven track record of managing high quality learning provision in a heritage, arts or education environment; a strategic understanding of current issues, developments and opportunities in the museum and learning sectors; excellent interpersonal and people management skills; and a passion for the power of museums to support learning across the full range of our users, from under 5s to post-graduate students, will be essential for this role.
