It depends on how you are running things.
Via the FEAT GUI there are several registration steps, and as
long as these work fine, then the FOV of the fieldmap shouldn't
be a big deal (as long as it covers the relevant portion of the brain).
However, if you run directly from the command line with fugue,
then it assumes that everything is pre-registered and that can
cause some problems if you present it with images that are not
registered.
