Be inspired, learn with colleagues & plan for a challenging future with Creating Capacity this autumn

We have some great courses coming up which have been designed to meet the needs of museum, library and archive professionals and the organisations in which they work.  We'd like to tell you about a number of them such as Inclusive Services: practical strategies for working with looked-after children (7 October); teenagers (30 November) and young offenders (24 January).

We were asked for more courses around the digital agenda - we listened and the first one is on 6 October - Digital Records Preservation which will help you to manage your digital records over time.  This is followed by Social media know how: making the best use of online tools and platform on 17 November; swiftly followed by Digital Strategies: making the most of your online presence on 25 November.

A huge issue in the light of Government policy and the desire to meet the needs of our users is community engagement, courses under that package heading begin with an introduction to the skills and planning required on 11 October.

We also have stimulating packages on copyright from essentials to next steps; on fundraising from an introduction, to trusts and foundations and fundraising from individuals; on management issues including volunteers; project management; managing people and successful events; and on a whole range of marketing and advocacy issues.

So with a packed programme ahead we hope there is something available to suit your needs.  If not - tell us what you need, we'll try our best to find a solution whether in-house or as part of the public programme.  Click on the links or go to the pdf brochure for further details.  92% of people who have attended a Creating Capacity course recently would recommend it to someone else, join us soon and find out why.  Here's what a couple of them said:

'The trainer was fantastic: experienced and well prepared/organised. The facilities were comfortable and refreshments of a very high standard'

'Among the best trainers I've come across anywhere - very interesting and comprehensive'
